PowerPoint Presentation Rubric


Create a PowerPoint presentation, choosing “blank presentation.” Some ideas for topics:

  1. Spring break
  2. What makes a good friend
  3. Places you have visited during family vacations
  4. Places you would like to vacation
  5. Reasons to continue your education beyond high school
  6. Favorites (choose one): restaurants, foods, sports, Bible characters, texts/promises, classes, season
  7. Persuasive topic (see my list of persuasive topic suggestions posted in classroom) – find a classmate in your Comp. Skills section who will present the opposing view – each makes separate presentations
  8. Make a presentation to submit to another teacher – Art, Physical Science, English, Health, Geometry. . .
  9. Other ideas of your own??? Clear with me before proceeding.

Print handouts of your presentation (3 slides/page) to staple behind this and hand in today when finished, or at the start of next class period before you give your oral presentation to the class. SAVE in your P drive, as “A PP Smith.”

Grading criteria :

_____/1 Title Slide with your name included on it.
_____/2 Saved as directed
_____/10 8-10 slides, including Title slide (vary the slide layouts)
_____/5 6 x 6 rule used – no more than 6 words/line and 6 lines/slide – 36 pt. font used.
_____/3 Point form – not sentences
_____/2 Handouts printed (3 per page). Go to File/Print and under Print what, select Handouts.
_____/10 Accuracy (no typographical or grammatical errors)
_____/5 On time – the handouts were turned in when due (W/Th, March 19/20, 2008)
_____/2 Design Template applied – Design chosen: ____________________________ (click Design button; choose the design template)
_____/2 Transitions between the slides (on menu choose Slide Show/Slide Transition)
