Accounting Syllabus
Course Content/Objectives
- Develop skills in record keeping, completing records and interpreting results
- Reinforce basic math skills
- Provide a solid foundation in basic accounting concepts
- Prepare for college accounting classes
- Prepare for entry-level job in the accounting field
- Be aware of accounting career opportunities
- Become familiar with accounting for a proprietorship, partnership and corporation.
- Become familiar with how to use Excel to prepare financial statements.
- Learn Biblical business principles
Procedures and Guidelines
- Have textbook, workbook, paper, calculator, straight edge, and pencil at your seat when class begins. Check your folder for graded papers.
- Be attentive and follow directions the first time they are given.
- Observe all school rules and standards that are announced or printed in the bulletin
- Inappropriate to put down classmates or use profane language.
- Late work is not accepted. Due dates will be clearly announced.
- Do your own homework and nobody else’s. See CA’s cheating policy on pg. 52 of the bulletin.
- Quizzes will be given as well as chapter tests.
- Exploring the local computer or network or running programs that you're not instructed to run in this class will result in consequences such as network privilege removal, grade deduction, etc.
