Richard Hickam - Director
Richard Hickam is a native of San Diego, California. Richard graduated from
Collegedale Academy (88), Southern Adventist University (00), and Vandercook College of Music (05) in Chicago with his M.Mus. Ed.
Richard also studied sound engineering at the California Recording
Institute in San Francisco. In his college years Richard served as Head
Announcer of Classical WSMC FM 90.5 and as Assistant Conductor of the SAU Symphony Orchestra.
Richard and Darlene were married in 2002 and have
two beautiful girls Alli Sue & Autumn.
Bob & Jeanne Dickinson - Videographer & Band Librarian :

Bob and Jeanne met at Southern Missionary College as students in 1965. They have two sons,
Rob Dickinson & Dr. Brian Dickinson, DVM, and two wonderful grandson's
Ethan and Connor. Bob retired in 2000 from 35 years as a Nurse. Currently,
Bob sings in the “Master's Men”, and keeps busy video taping concerts.
Jeanne is semi-retired now and plays in two brass groups here in the
Chattanooga area: SilverBrass & Jericho Brass. Jeanne teaches private music lessons
on the double bass at GPS and French horn at A.W. Spalding. She also
has a small lawn care business that keeps her busy. They both enjoy
sharing their time & talents with the Collegedale Academy &
A.W. Spalding instrumental music program.
Mark Torsney - Assistant Director :
Mark was born May 23, 1976 in Portland Oregon. Mark grew up in Long Island,
NY, however, and started classical piano at age 6, the trumpet at 12, and
played in the school band throughout high school. Mark's family moved to
Tennessee in 1995 when Mark received a scholarship in music from Southern
Adventist University. Mark received his Bachelors of Science in Music
Education and Performance from Southern Adventist University
in 1999. Mark is currently a private instructor of trumpet, piano, and guitar.
