Mission Statement:

The mission statement of the GCSS Instrumental program is to provide a balanced curriculum to the instrumentalist.  This program will provide musical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth through repertoire, performance and related musical activities.  This program will enhance students' lives by helping them to realize a higher level of self-awareness, to develop a greater facility for self-expression and to emerge a more-complete human being.  This program will encourage a life long learning, enjoyment, and support of the arts.
